Hello, my name is Alec and I am 10. I am interested in PokémonTM as well
as my younger brother (who is too young to join Debate Mate).
I have been attending Debate Mate for 3 years, starting off as something to do during the Covid-19 Pandemic. I particularly enjoy the 'Where Do You Stand' activity as it is interesting to see the opinions of others as well as your own.
Debate Mate has taught me a lot about speaking out and standing up for others. It has helped me with my excellent drama club (Creation Theatre) and expressing my ideas in and out of school.
I want to be a technical engineer when I grow up and use things like genetic engineering to turn animals into PokémonTM and I want to use the skills Debate Mate has taught me to help sell my products to people.
